† history "We'll do it all, everything, on our own." Childhood: Rosalyn Ann Berlitz, more affectionately known as Rose, was born in a city called Cologne in Germany. Raised in a family in which her mother was never there and her father was abusive, she quickly learned not to put her trust in anyone. Her father abused her physically, as well as sexually, so physical contact is extremely unwanted. She had a younger brother who died at age 5 due to internal bleeding caused by her father’s beating. She met her best friend and weapon, Adrian, on the streets when he saved her from a mugging. Despite his bloodthirsty and somewhat promiscuous nature, he soon proved worthy of her trust. The two ran from their hometown to DWMA after discovering their abilities. DWMA life: She and Adrian quickly caught Shinigami-sama’s eye with their raw talent, although both were way too lazy to put real effort into the school. She aced tests off her smarts, and it was at school that her personality blossomed. She made friends easily with her kind and generous nature, although not all of them befriended her of the right intentions. A classmate has noted that she always seemed distant when it came to serious issues, and that she and Adrian seemed glued to each other's sides. She never trusted anyone easily, even though she was friendly and giving to everyone. One could even say that the only person she trusts is Adrian. She caught the attention of the boys, being cute and European. But she had no interest in them; she didn’t trust men after what her father did to her. The only boy she ever put her trust in was Adrian, with whom she is deeply and unrequitedly in love with. After Shinigami-sama retired, his successor was quick to graduate her and name Adrian as a Death Weapon, placing the two in charge of the Western European division. Currently: Rose and Adrian work in Western Europe together, fighting the Corrupted wherever they may spawn. She is sad to have to fight so much, but Adrian is quick to remind her of the harm and evil the Corrupted are performing. She occasionally visits DWMA, and always enjoys visiting the library wherever she may go. She, as mentioned earlier, is desperately in love with her partner, but decides not to act on it in fear of destroying their long-built friendship and shattering his trust in her. She is shy when the two are alone and speaking about serious topics. Her bubbly personality and seemingly empty-headedness is simply a mask for her insecurities, hiding the truth that she has serious trust issues and frequent nightmares about her past, of which she has still not let go. † meister "I wanna be where I've never been before..." † SPECIAL SOUL?
