They counter each other out and cancels out their wavelengths. They are able to fight on equal terms depending on the strength of their combat skills. GRIGORI: The Japanese kanji for Grigori is 'angel-shaped' and this is incorporated with the soul's appearance. A Grigori Soul is a soul which has a pair of wings attached to it, and when it reaches full power, its Soul Wavelength takes on the form of feathers. There also seems to be a possibility of Grigori Souls having halos as well, befitting the name of an 'angel-shaped' soul. They are immune to the wrath wavelength but they are still prone to the other six sins. Wings: Typically, bearers of Grigori Souls can conjure up wings in order to fly. However, normally, they cannot do this by conjuring wings onto their person. It is shown that the size, shape and appearance of the wings can be altered, as well as speed and efficiency in the air. With powerful wings, one can fly at incredible speeds and have good maneuverability in the air. Grigori souls can use their wings for combat. Their wings are extremely tough and hard to cut through, and can also shoot his feathers in the manner of bullets.

The bearers of Teiso souls has the abitlity to predict their opponents next movements. So they can dodge quite easily. They are allowed to have 'auto-dodge' depending on the rank. GESEI:
The Gesei souls is opposite of the greed wavelengths. They are immune to the greed wavelength, but still prone to the other six wavelengths. Gesei means charity or self-sacrifice, allowing those who bears the soul of Gesei to take a lot of damage to their souls than normal.

• Gesei allows for the user to take damage equal to one step lesser than a normal human being. I.e. a gash is now just a cut. But, this can only be used 2 times a thread by 1 star, 3 times a 2 stars, and 4 times a thread by 3 stars. The user must also know that the attack is coming, so surprise attacks will do the same damage. Poison and the such ignores this. The user may also take damage for his friend. so if the user is trapped, he may take damage for his rescue.

• The bearers of Kinben souls typically has higher speed than your average meister. The rank and skill determines how much bursts of speed per thread. [One star: 1 burst of speed per thread; Two star: 2 bursts of speed per thread; Three star: 3 burst of speed per thread.]

The bearers of Shinsetsu souls are immune to the wavelength of envy. Shinsetsu literally means kindness so they are granted the abiltiy to heal others and take a certain percentage of their wounds onto themselves.

• Shinsetsu can heal others and take part of their wounds onto themselves. For example, healing a person with a broken bone, they get healed completely but the healer themselves may get a slight fracture in the same bone that was broken. [One star: 50% of their wounds; Two stars: 25% of their wounds; Three stars: 10% of their wounds.]
