The wavelength carries the true characteristics of a person's soul. CHARACTERISTICS: Soul Perception is a ability to see people's souls and sense their Soul Wavelengths. Most meisters have the Soul Perception ability; some have a stronger ability than others. Some are able to use their own souls offensively, controlling their Soul Wavelength without a demon weapon. A Soul Wavelength is what allows meisters and weapons to initiate a Soul Resonance. This is done by connecting souls and sending power back and forth between each other, enhancing the power, and finally releasing. Wavelengths can be compatible with other people, allowing for resonance, meister-weapon teams, etc. Although certain people do not match Soul Wavelengths with each other. This makes working together very difficult.

Purification Wavelength: This wavelength is a counter wavelength to Corrupted Wavelength. A person who has this wavelength is intensely resisted to Corruption, and has the ability to purify and transfer such resistance to other people's souls. These Distortions can even sometimes be fatal to the Soul. Those who can read Soul Wavelengths can easily tell an individual's abilities and even personality defects through these distortions. A list of known Distortions and those who have them are listed as follows: Bloodlust Distortion: A distortion in which the individual has Bloodlust. It has been shown that a prolonged condition of this in a person's Soul can be fatal, causing that Soul to bleed until it bursts. Fitting to the distortion itself. Evil Magic Distortion: A distortion which a magic-user that is not a Witch has. The "Evil" quality is determined by a dark complexity in the magic used. Corrupted Infection Distortion: A distortion found in individuals who have not entirely fallen, have fallen, or use corruption.
